RAVE Sports Introduces New Ski/Wakeboard Trainer

The patent pending Aqua Buddy is a catamaran style inflatable ski/wakeboard trainer that allows skiers and wakeboarders to learn deep water starts with ease.

"My cousin is a world class surfer and snow skier. I tried to get him up wakeboarding but he just couldn’t get up. Though he has wakeboarded before, something just wasn’t working" states RAVE Sports President Steve Friswold. "I pulled out the Aqua Buddy and he had no problem getting up on the first attempt. My sons, 11 and 13, were also able to wakeboard easily. Their 3 cousins, ages 8, 11, and 13, got up skiing right away. They were completely ecstatic!"

The Aqua Buddy is as easy to use as getting out of a chair. As the skier/wakeboarder sits on the Aqua Buddy, they begin to feel comfortable with the equipment and movement on the water. As the boat slowly pulls the skier, they are able to get used to the feeling of skiing. Once they are comfortable and confident, all they have to do is stand up and ski away!

"We are very excited about the Aqua Buddy and how it can be used for several different users and experiences. Not only can you use it for first time skiers, but old-timers like me can ski without having the painful after-effects," laughs Tom Plante, Vice President of R&D.
